Behind The Poltergeist Phenomenon

Behind The Poltergeist Phenomenon

Since long we have known the existence of strange phenomena such as the haunted house, omens, and so the appearance of ghosts. Poltergeist can be said to bring these strange happenings. Poltergeist in German translates as "noisy spirit" or "noisy ghost". Parapsychologists call this phenomenon as "Recurrent Spontaneous Psychokinesis" (RSPK). However, whether actual poltergeist phenomena that? Could be illogical logic?

Poltergeist phenomena have some common characteristics include:
1. The goods that move by themselves, even heavy objects
2. Doors and windows are opened / closed by an invisible creature

Poltergeist in History
A very important point about the poltergeist phenomenon is that it has appeared sepenjang history in many cultures and generally have the same characteristics. First-century Jewish historian, Josephus, describes the phenomenon of "ownership" which is currently better known as a poltergeist.

Jacob Grimm, Deutsche Mythologie writes in his book, describes a number of cases, including the incidence of stones being thrown, people pulled out of bed, there was a knock and a loud noise, etc.. Pastor and author Giraldus Cambernsis Pembrokshire describe a house inhabited by evil spirits, he says many things are thrown, clothes torn, and the 'spirit' even talk openly about the secret.

Over the last several hundred years, more well-known case is the case, including cases of 'Tedworth Drummer' in the UK in 1661, where a drum owned by a beggar who was imprisoned play itself was accompanied by other phenomena such as a thrown chair, a bed with the maid on it suddenly lifted, and many a loud scratching sound.

Enfield Poltergeist case and Mackenzie
Two modern cases that occur are "Enfield Poltergeist" and "Mackenzie Poltergeist '.

Enfield Poltergeist Poltergeist is a series of events that occurred in England between August 1977 and September 1978, plus the explosion in August 1980. The phenomenon that occurs in Enfield North London disebuah houses for rent in Peggy Hodgson, single parent with four children.

During this time, moved furniture myself, there was a knock on the wall, children's toys were thrown and become too hot to the touch, puddles on the floor, cold, physical assault, the emergence of graffiti, malfunctions and damage to various equipment, and various objects thrown around the house. After visiting the house, George Fallows, a senior reporter for the Daily Mirror, suggested that the Society for Psychical Research (SPR) is called to investigate.

Enfield Poltergeist

A series of stressful events in a case known as the Mackenzie Poltergeist (and supposedly still happening) in 1999 in Greyfriars Kirkyard, Edinburgh. The incident was triggered by a homeless man who spent the night in a mausoleum owned by Sir George Mackanzie who died in 1691.

Sir George Mackanzie during his life are known as blood-thirsty persecutors and activists Presbiteraian. Homelessness was not deliberately make mischief in the coffin of Sir Mackenzie, and suddenly he was running and screaming after seeing the terror in that place. He was found by police in a state of delirium. Since then a lot of strange phenomena sprang up at night Kirkyard and the surrounding area.

Houses around distracted by the flying objects. While visitors to the site itself has a feeling of extreme heat or cold, suffered cuts and bruises from unknown attackers, their throats choked, their coat is pulled, they can even knocked unconscious by an invisible force.

Explanation of Poltergeist Phenomenon
So what causes the phenomenon of poltergeist? In addition to the recognition that despite the false and exaggerated apply in some cases, by no means applies to all. A popular theory is poletergeist caused by humans, especially teenage girls. The researchers believe that troubled teens are unconsciously manipulate objects using psychokinesis, the type of energy produced by the brain. According to researchers from the Rhine Research Center Institute for Parapsychology at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, poltergeist activity is the physical expression of psychological trauma.

However, a more natural explanation is often the cause of poltergeist phenomena. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) have been found behind a poltergeist. And there is an increasing amount of evidence to suggest that it may explain more cases.

Perhaps this knowledge can help explain the poltergeist cases like the Eleonore Zugun and Carol Compton (read man a fire). However this does not explain how the power generated is sufficient to move objects as heavy furniture, or a shower room with a stone, make objects appear out of nowhere, or start a fire.

There are also a number of poltergeist cases in people who have no psychological problems at all, there is also a poltergeist phenomenon in a family that does not even exist at all in them teenagers. Then what is the explanation? Besides that there are millions of troubled teens around the world, but most do not cause poltergeist activity. Other researchers have shown that the entity responsible for the poltergeist spirit. But the 'spirit' can not be scientifically investigated, although there is an interesting recording of the Enfield poltergeist case.

However, if we count, extreme events alleged poltergeist activity itself is redundant. Nevertheless, until now have not found a convincing explanation for the poltergeist phenomenon. Poltergeist cases showed significantly similar characteristics over a very long period of time and in a very different culture. Strangeness and the inconsistency may be made poltergeist enduring mystery that can not be explained.
