Robbery Books on Palestine

Robbery Books on Palestine

I've read the novel My Salwaa My Palestine. The novelist with a very 'beautiful' (I give a quote on the word 'beautiful' because, although the literature is beautiful, but the content of the story is very sad and makes my eyes water dripping) tells the story of a prosperous Palestinian Arab families, live in a mansion comfortable, and then suddenly everything changed. The UN announced partition Palestine, percent to the country of the Jews to establish Israel. Arab family was 'accidental' in the territory that became Israel rations. As a result of all residents in the region driven by the Zionist army and militia groups. They walk through the desert, seeking refuge to a place of safety.
The story in the novel is very consistent with the historical facts, even those written by Jewish historians, such as Ilan Pappe. Expulsion and massacre occurred in various parts of Palestine that the United Nations unilaterally awarded to Israel. Until now they (the natives of the territory now occupied by Israel) live scattered in various camps.

And I just watched a documentary aired by Al Jazeera. Apparently, in the event of the expulsion of Palestinians, a break-in 'structured' by the Zionist soldiers and the Jewish-Israeli citizens. Not only objects that were looted furniture, but also books that exist in empty houses left by the occupants. In this film you will see what kind of beautiful homes owned by Palestinians that (I can now imagine what the mansion's character in the novel My Salwaa My Palestine). The houses were partially empty and the owner is not allowed to re-occupy the houses by the Zionist government.

And more tragically, tens of thousands of books that are in the houses, has now been changed ownership, which is Israel's national library. Not surprisingly, this documentary is titled "Book Biggest Robbery" (The Great Book Robbery). You can watch it here:

Interestingly, the speaker of the film is not only of the Palestinians who deplored the loss of books from their homes, but also from the Israeli side, which recognizes the 'illegal change owner' of the books.
