Great Wall of China is building into the category of the 7 wonders of the world in 1997. The wall that has the name of Wall Along the 10,000 Li is the longest building that human ever made in the Qing Dynasty wall with an overall length of 8850 km.

This wall was built on the orders of China's first emperor Qin Shi Huang, namely, to protect the Chinese Empire. It took decades, ie from 220-206 BC to complete this giant wall.

Great Wall of China is a tourist destination in the world, many foreign tourists each year visit the Great Wall of China is. But did you know where the end of China's Great Wall?

Top Lake on the west, the other end is in Shanhaiguan. Located in eastern China, dubbed Shanhaiguan Old Dragon's Head or also called Laolongtou. Right end protrudes into the Bohai Sea. This place is so tourist destination due to the tower perched on top of monitors and a temple.

Shanhaiguan or Shanhai Pass Qinhunangdao located near the city, 300 kilometers east of Beijing. Shanhai Pass extends 5 kilometers, empties directly into the sea.

Laolongtou name given since the end of the wall is like a long dragon head immersed in sea water. Visitors can climb to the top of the wall and direct panoramic sea view, also visited the tower monitors and a temple on it.


But apparently, not fully part Laolongtou is the original building. Citing Amusing Planet website, in July 1905 the Japanese army landed at Shanhai Pass. They bombarded the area, destroying some of the side wall. What stands now is the Chinese government's efforts to create a replica of the original building.

Laolongtou divided into seven parts, namely Estuary Stone City, Chenghai Tower, Nereus Temple, Jinglu Beacon Tower, Nanhaikou Pass, Ningchai City and Binhai Walls. Two tourist favorite place is Changtai Tower and the Nereus Temple, perched on it.


Changtai Tower is a two-storey building with wood and brick foundation, serves as a monitoring tower. Nereus Temple famous for never visited by the emperor in the Qing Dynasty.

Temple so this is where they pray to the ancestors before traveling to northeast China.
