Bono waves are huge waves caused by the meeting of Kampar River flows by the current South China Sea and the currents of the Strait of Malacca. Flows are very large, strong and tall. The height of the waves can reach 4-6 meters and accompanied by strong roar. This phenomenon is also found in Pororoca, the Amazon River.

You can surf and challenging waves with Bono in the Kampar River to travel about 6-7 hours of Pekanbaru. There Kampar river in Teluk Meranti village. The village is located in the northeast of Pekanbaru.
